Corporate Sales, a part of Markets and Securities Services, Global Markets Front Office. We are looking to recruit talented and driven individual to support the Corporate Sales Chief Operating Officer (COO) function and Corporate Sales Team globally in Business Development, Sales Support, Client Service, Booking and execution, Market Research and Insights, Automation etc. that will enable onshore sales teams to dedicate more time delivering better service to clients and make it easier for customers to do business with HSBC.

 

The mandate of the Corporate Sales team is to support the development and implementation of Corporate Sales Strategy, providing insight, developing tools, and driving initiatives to help grow the business and deliver measurable improvements in client service and sales performance. The purpose of the Corporate Sales US team is also to assist onshore sales teams with Pre-Sales, Post-Sales and trade lifecycle support.

 

The position holder will be part of the Corporate Sales US team supporting Front Office sales team, Management, COO through the provision of key client insights and services. The individual will be expected to work closely with the COO office, Corporate Sales regional/country heads and sales leads in onshore locations. The role entails collaborating with the COO function and onshore sales teams to operate in a control framework whereby key decisions are made by the appropriate onshore corporate sales team. The role provides exposure to both front office sales teams and Global Markets products.

 

The responsibilities of the role will evolve with the expansion of our offshore capability and rollout of sales enablement tools driving business development and our growth agenda. This would include collaborating with the COO function and onshore sales teams to operate in a control framework whereby key decisions are made by the appropriate onshore team member.

 

As our Corporate Sales Associate, you will:

 

  • Execute market research and market commentary writ-ups, build actionable intelligence across the corporate client base which will be used for business development and opportunity assessment and supports sales strategy
  • Maintain Corporate Sales Marketing content hub by web designing, writing daily market updates, preparing weekly Foreign Exchange (FX) and Rates slides, writing Commercial Banking (CMB) weekly market update and interest rate commentaries and publishing content to relevant teams
  • Handle global stakeholders single-handedly by managing projects or responsibilities given by them
  • Incorporation of external market information including quantitative metrics (market share, wallet share) and qualitative metrics (service level analyses, client feedback) into the analytics function
  • Prepare pre-meeting client packs for sales team members
  • Provide commentary on industry trends, benchmarking, Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, revenue stability, and products and volumes traded by the client
  • Research and collate new items of interest regarding corporates who have announced cross border activities such as fundraising or new overseas contracts, and changes in credit appetite, trading history, or general impact by market events
  • Support Corporate Sales regional heads on ad-hoc as well as Business as Usual (BAU) data and other ad-hoc requests

 

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

 

  • Direct experience in Banking and Financial Services/Research Companies/Banking Information Technology (IT), Business Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting
  • Well versed on what is currently happening globally about regulations, FX spot, FX forwards, FX options, money market products, interest rates, Swaps and Non-Deliverable Forward (NDF)
  • Hands on use of Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik Sense or any other visualization tool will be a plus
  • Knowledge in VBA, SQL, Python, automation tools with be an added advantage
  • Able to write market commentaries, CCY Pair movement Summaries & Impact of key announcements to currency markets
  • Experience in Global stakeholder engagement, excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office specially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility or adapt to support Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as US stakeholders, across different time zones
  • Able to work independently, proactively and against multiple deadlines

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
