The Emerging Markets (EM) Macro sales team is a best in class market leader responsible for servicing US based institutional clients across multiple products and geographies. A position is available for an ambitious hard working individual looking to learn and develop a skill set to become a key member of this team. The job will require someone who is prepared to play a proactive role in the back up and servicing of the largest clients on the desk. As they become more comfortable and familiar with the products the individual would be expected to proactively consolidate HSBC market leading research, trading and sales functions to deliver a world class product to clients. Once the candidate gains in experience, knowledge and confidence they will be given additional responsibilities with the view to develop and build their own client base in the future
The nature of the roll will require someone to learn multiple products (FX and Rates) as well as service clients across various time zones. The candidate will need a strong work ethic, and desire to learn. An interest in both flow and structured products would be useful and a passion for markets is essential. All training will be provided.
Principal Accountabilities:

- Support in the day-to-day operations of the desk
- Back up accounts, helping with client requests and execution
- Be responsible for client confirmations and bookings
- Attend cross-asset weekly meetings and manage the distribution of key takeaways to the wider HSBC network
- Conduct daily credit checks, option expiries, and other administrative tasks
- Ensure daily information is delivered seamlessly to the desk
- Manage any new issue orders
- Be responsible for primary auction capture
- Help to coordinate with Research to ensure the smooth running of all meetings
- Work closely with the Rates and FX Middle Office teams to ensure there are no operational issues or losses
- Deliver fair outcomes for HSBC’s customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
- Demonstrate behaviours consistent with HSBC’s diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
- Support in the day-to-day operations of the desk
Upon demonstration of a suitable aptitude and level of expertise the candidate will be expected to maintain and build existing, and new internal and external relationships. They will grow into a revenue producer within the EM Macro sales business.
Qualifications:
- University Degree or advanced qualifications and equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
