Credit & Capital Management - Portfolio Structuring & Optimisation (CCM-PSO) supports the CIB deal origination and capital management. CCM-PSO’s role is to improve portfolio risk management and risk/return on the credit portfolio through loan sales and hedging.
The CCM-PSO Associate role will focus on supporting all aspects of CCM-PSO hedging and loan sales execution, credit portfolio monitoring & MI, risk reviews & analysis, risk management and capital allocation within the CIB business. The role requires working closely with the CCM origination team, Corporate & Institutional Banking customer coverage teams and with the 2nd line of defense (Risk and Finance).
Here's what you can expect:
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
• Prepare a Daily Flash Profit & Loss for the hedge book (CDS, CLO)
• Support/manage the ongoing management of the CLO program
• Provide analysis for CDS hedging and loans sales
• Support compliance processes for trading (CDS/Loan sales)
• Prepare Monthly Credit Portfolio MI and Hedge/Loan sales reporting for management and Risk & Finance
• Provide CCM-PSO and management ad hoc risk/return analysis as needed (may include sector and stress test analysis)
• Support CCM-PSO and broader efforts to improve portfolio data quality and transparency
• Actively support and work with 2nd Line of Defense (Risk and Finance) on risk management processes (may include Risk Limit and Stress test processes (e.g. CCAR))
• Assist with implementing, as appropriate, CCM-PSO relevant regulatory and internal policy/guideline changes, including communication and support to origination teams
• Assist, as needed, in resolving CCM-PSO relevant audit points and issues raised by regulators
• Support ad hoc projects/initiatives to improve the management of the credit portfolio (for example Economic Capital)
You’ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Excel modeling skills (Excel VBA is a plus)
• Python programming skills a plus
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering or other quantitative disciplines.
• Prior banking experience preferred background in Trading support, Credit & Lending, Risk Management or Risk/Return analysis is a plus.
• Understanding of risk management with knowledge of regulatory and economic capital
• Strong Multitasking abilities required

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
