We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Americas Head of Liquidity Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Direct and navigate the liquidity teams covering entities in the US (Bank and Broker Dealer), Mexico, Chile and Brazil. You will have responsibility for setting the strategy for liquidity management, ensuring the liquidity policy is effectively implemented, owning entity liquidity stress testing, and ultimately steering the entity’s liquidity to ensure safe, yet efficient, management of liquidity from a first line perspective
  • Collaborate and partner with stakeholders across entities, functions and businesses to manage the end-to-end processes involved in liquidity management. This will include engagement with regulators, driving local forecasting, planning and overall liquidity steering. To enable this, you will need to work with those stakeholders to align existing practices, with a significant global book of work already underway
  • Have a good understanding of the drivers of liquidity risk and how these elements relate to each other, constraining businesses in different ways, and in different circumstances. A solid understanding of the drivers of liquidity risk in the markets business is especially important for this role
  • Have strong communication skills to lead that team and ensure connectivity with regional and global colleagues. You will need to be able to interact and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, including the CFO, CRO and members of the ALCO, Risk Committee and Board
  • Be responsible for executing liquidity optimisation activity taking into account the different liquidity drivers and constraints whilst considering other potential impacts on the balance sheet and business activity. You will be ideally positioned to identify opportunities and share them to other parts of the bank where those ideas can be of additional value

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of liquidity management and liquidity risk
  • Experience of strategically directing the end-to-end processes involved in liquidity management
  • Varied broad-based banking experience in financial services including a deep understanding of a range of treasury topics, including specific liquidity experience and a solid understanding of Broker Dealer activity
  • Experience of directing, engaging, motivating and leading a team
  • Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the numbers, policy, strategy, initiatives and narrative to life (e.g. presenting management information to a wide range of stakeholders/ senior management)
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority, businesses, and geographies)
