We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Risk & Compliance team. The role requires strong partnership with the businesses to drive and accelerate the execution of compliance programmes that directly impact business performance.

In particular, the role will involve:

• Manage the financial crime, regulatory compliance and fraud risks for HBME Oman
• To support compliance advisory and maintain an effective control framework
• To ensure compliance with all relevant external laws and regulations, internal codes and policies and good market practices
• To provide advisory services to wholesale business and functions to ensure clear understanding of compliance
• To ensure proactive communication with wholesale business and functions and to develop appropriate policy and framework to manage the changes across the group
• To support the chief compliance officer (COO) and ensure processes are coordinated

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or relevant specialization
• 5+ years working in Risk & Compliance departments in banks and financial institutions reviewing documents and transactions
• Proficiency in English is must 
• Professional qualifications in Compliance is a plus.
