We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the India WPB Partnership team
Role Purpose

The role holder will work with Head, Partnerships to identify internal business demand and how Partnership could contribute to achieve Business objectives. Capture both internal and external demand and communicate with Business teams to shape/shift partner engagement focus. Originate and design partnership proposals based on insights and work with senior management across markets and functions to prioritize initiatives and projects.
Thus, the role holder will have to be able to bring substantial experience to the table in identifying creative partnership opportunities which can drive the bank’s growth and digital KPI, and in striking partnerships for banks. He or she will have to be persuasive and able to take internal stakeholders on a journey to explain the value of such an approach and obtain buy in.
Principal Accountabilities
Work with Head Partnerships on
- strategy, development, and governance of digital, fintech, and ecosystem partnerships, aligned to business priorities, customer outcomes, and regulatory expectations.
- end-to-end partnership lifecycle, including partner identification, evaluation, onboarding governance, commercial structuring, go-live, and ongoing performance management.
- internal alignment across product, technology, risk, compliance, legal, operations, and finance to ensure partnerships are scalable, compliant, and operationally sustainable.
- Ensure robust onboarding and third-party governance frameworks, balancing speed-to-market with risk, control, and long-term value creation.
- Manage senior stakeholder engagement and provide regular updates on partnership performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic impact.
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital platforms, APIs, and ecosystem capabilities to enhance customer journeys, improve operational efficiency, and generate new revenue streams.
Customers & Stakeholders
- Internal: Product – Weath, Liabilities, Proposition and International teams, Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk, Legal, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Senior Management.
- External: Fintechs, technology providers, platform partners, strategic alliance partners, consultants, industry bodies, and where relevant, regulators and auditors.
Operational Effectiveness
- Ensure clear governance, accountability, and decision-making forums across partnership initiatives.
- Track and improve key metrics such as time-to-onboard, SLA adherence, partner performance, risk exceptions, and issue resolution.
- Embed standardized processes, controls, and documentation to ensure auditability, consistency, and scalability.
- Proactively identify operational, technology, and compliance risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of fintech and digital ecosystem models, including platform, alliance partnerships, APIs, data sharing, and embedded services.
- Working knowledge of regulated financial services environments, including third-party risk management, data privacy, information security, and compliance considerations.
- Awareness of emerging digital trends and partnership-led business models relevant to banking and financial services.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Law, or a related discipline; advanced or professional qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience working with digital, fintech, or ecosystem partnerships—from a bank, fintech, consulting, or technology environment—preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across internal and external teams.
- Strong commercial judgment, governance mindset, and execution focus, with the ability to balance innovation, risk, and control.
