Job Summary

  • The AVP, Business Management will support business execution, governance, performance tracking, strategic initiatives, and operational oversight across HSBC Invest Direct Securities (India) Pvt. Ltd. (HISL). The role will act as a central coordination point between Business, Operations, Finance, Technology and HR teams to ensure effective delivery of priorities, governance discipline, business growth and operational resilience.
  • The role requires strong execution capability, stakeholder management, management information (MI) reporting, governance oversight and continuous improvement mindset to support business objectives while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

 

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Business Governance & Performance Management
  • Drive governance forums, leadership reviews and business operating rhythm.
  • Prepare and maintain business dashboards, KPIs, KRIs and executive MI packs.
  • Track performance against business plans and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor delivery progress and ensure closure of actions and decisions.

 

  1. Strategic Planning & Business Execution
  • Support annual planning cycles and business prioritisation activities.
  • Coordinate strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.
  • Monitor implementation milestones, dependencies and business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification and operational efficiency.

 

  1. Financial & Resource Management
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and expense tracking activities.
  • Monitor utilisation, productivity and planning.
  • Coordinate financial governance and business reporting requirements.
  • Support investment tracking and business case preparation.

 

  1. Stakeholder & Executive Management
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance and HR.
  • Prepare presentations, decision papers and executive communication.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams to deliver business priorities.

 

  1. Transformation & Process Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives
  • Support implementation of new processes and operating models.
  • Coordinate UAT, change governance and adoption activities.
  • Track benefits realisation and operational impact.

 

  1. Management Information (MI) & Reporting
  • Produce executive-level reporting and performance insights.
  • Analyse trends and recommend actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency and governance standards.
  • Maintain reporting calendars and timely submissions.

 

Mandatory Qualifications, Certifications & Experience

  • Education: Graduate in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent. MBA preferred.

 

  • Recommended Certifications: Project Management & Data Analytics

 

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Management / COO / PMO / Governance / Strategy / Transformation within Banking or Financial Services. E

 

  • Domain Knowledge: Governance and operating model frameworks, Financial and business performance reporting, Risk and control environment, Business planning and transformation delivery
