We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the GPB Business Administration team.

 

Job Introduction

  • To provide strategic, administrative and management support to the Business / Desk Head enabling them to execute the global GPB strategy/plan effectively and efficiently in a risk/regulatory-compliant manner.
  • Take primary responsibility for non-client related areas, with the appropriate authority to take and implement decisions and request involvement from colleagues/RM’s as needed.
  • Ensure communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information is effectively managed within relevant business area.
  • Support Business / Desk Head plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increase revenue for existing ones to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
  • Participate in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
  • Help to create an environment where simplification opportunities are identified and executed throughout the business and supporting functions
  • Responsible for the ongoing identification and execution of ideas and initiatives that simplify processes in order to enable business growth

  • Growth and profitability - assist in the implementation of the business plan for the geographic region to achieve established growth and profitability objectives; assist in the direction of high calibre private bankers to deepen existing client relationships and establish new ones

  • To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent risk in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.

  • To challenge existing control frameworks in line with Simplifying Growth initiatives

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

 

 

 

 

 

The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do,

both personally and as an organisation.

 

The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings,

and the impact of new technology.

 

This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring. Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with entity management

Education Qualifications / Certifications and Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking and financial markets
  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field,

or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Highly organised and disciplined approach.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Being comfortable with uncertainty.
  • Experience of formulating and delivering transformational strategic change.
  • Track record of working effectively within global teams and within a matrix organisation.
  • Highly developed influencing skills and the ability to interact professionally with management

at all levels.

  • A good understanding of operational risk management.
  • Highly capable in the use of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making practices.
  • Must possess effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication and

analytical skills.

 

Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
