We are currently seeking an highly experienced professional to join the International Wealth and Premier Banking team.(IWPB)
Job Introduction
The Senior Vice President-Retail Sales folds under Branch Banking Central Team-Sales and Distribution Network. The role holder will assume Pan India responsibilities for the Branch and Mobile Sales Force Network based out of the IWPB Central Office. While the incumbent would be an individual contributor, he/she will play a vital role in the driving and delivering performance expectations of the entire network for the Mortgage business along with the Key controls.
The scope of the role includes all issues that affect the final customer outcome and/or frontline staff from operational issues,to streamlining the service channel to running campaings for the sales team. Conduct training, coach and mentor the frontline team to be ready and fit for purpose.
Principle Responsibilities: -
Manage and drive the collective performance of the product specialist sales staff.
Involve in the day to day running of the business and provide the necessary steer and guidance to the network for an excellent customer outcome.
Provide credit risk advisory with a problem solving approach.
Maintain and enhances the operational standards and efficiency.
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal
and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Coach the team to achieve business goals and effectively meet customer needs.
Share all examples of best practise to drive overall customer experience
Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly
and transparent operation in financial markets
Manage Third Party engagements effectively to ensure all risk activities (including on-boarding, monitoring and exit) are undertaken accurately and in a timely manner
Lead and grow the WPB Mortgage business in line with India Strategic Plan / AOP for Mortgages.
Drive profitability through Mortgages and delivery of mortgage numbers which starts with
AOP Planning, Target Setting, Resource allocation and productivity expectation. Run tactical
campaign to grow the Mortgage book.
Plan and execute the setting up of Distribution of Mortgage Business through the Lead Generators. This would involve the end-to-end process of setting up the channel, working closely with them and providing them the required support to deliver the desired outcome.
Ensure a consistently high level of product and service delivery in line with customer needs across
the region.
Contribute to enhancing the banks image and visibility in the market place.
Maintain strong engagement with key stakeholders and support functions to deliver the expected
outcomes seamlessly.
Provide suitable guidance to the Mortgage Specialists and get them to undergo necessary
Accreditations.
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy
Adherence to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensures timely escalation of
control issues and reputation risks.
Demonstrates leadership on regulatory and compliance matters. Maintains awareness of risk and
minimizes the likelihood of it occurring through its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
Maintains HSBC internal control standards and addresses audit points and/or any issues raised by regulators in a timely manner.

and ensure that the necessary training is completed. Optimizes relations with regulators.
Understand the importance of Third-Party Risk, and your role in ensuring all risk activities (including ongoing monitoring and KPIs / KRIs) are undertaken accurately and in a timely manner with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate.
Education Qualifications / Certifications and Requirements:
- The job holder must be professionally qualified.
- Proven track record of achieving high level performance on a consistent basis.
- Strong credit analytical, portfolio management, risk management & interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop high quality lending opportunities and relationships.
- High quality collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage relationship manager and client expectations.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have high levels of self motivation to drive the HSBC Growth agenda.
- Be an ambassador for the HSBC Bank and Credit Advisory offering.
- Be able to present and articulate complex transactions in a manner that is understood by all stakeholders.
- Be confident presenting to audiences of all sizes about a range of credit products and solutions
- Have confidence engaging with all levels of seniority within HSBC
- Have strong client facing skills to develop new relatioships and grow existing relationships
- Be confident dealing with UHNW individuals and their complex demands and requirements.

Additional Information
- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
