Global Asset Management
Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

HSBC Mutual Fund India manages Indian equity and debt assets from last 20 years. We have clear and differentiated product offerings across asset classes. Our local team has ability to identify and position for global trends well supported by global perspective on long term asset prices.
We are currently seeking a Sr. Vice President – Administration to join the HSBC Global Asset Management (India) Pvt.Ltd. team. The person will be responsible for driving excellence in corporate real estate management, infrastructure development, facilities maintenance, and administrative support services.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Corporate Real Estate & Property Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for effective management of corporate real estate assets.
- Oversee lease negotiations, renewals, and space planning to optimize space utilization and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to real estate management.
- Ensure timely payments of rent and other payments in line with lease agreements.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, property regulations and building codes.
2. Infrastructure and Projects:
- Lead infrastructure development projects, including setting up new offices, renovations, expansions, and consolidations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs and implement solutions to support business operations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve project objectives.
3. Facilities and Administration:
- Supervise facilities maintenance activities, including building repairs, janitorial services to ensure upkeep and maintenance of offices.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
- Oversee office administration functions, including Courier operations, office supplies procurement, and vendor management.
4. Budget and Expense Management:
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
5. Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure employee safety.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns.
6. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and service level agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor vendor performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain service standards.
7. Team Engagement & Learning and Development
- Ensure a cordial and healthy environment within team and provide them with the opportunity to grow personally and professionally.
- Engage them on regular basis and guide them on their strengths & weaknesses.
- Provide them with the opportunity to do new things by identifying their core competencies and giving them better opportunity to grow within team.
Knowledge & Experience
- Over 15 years of relevant work experience in the financial industry of managing multi-location setup
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent project management capabilities with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in budget planning, financial analysis, and expense management.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate real estate principles and practices.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex issues and make informed decisions.
- Experience of handling a team of minimum 8-10 people for similar role
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, Project Management Professional) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
