Business Descriptor

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the INM GTS team as Head of Business Management reporting to Head of South Asia GTS. This role is accountable for translating GTS strategy into execution. The role ensures clarity of market priorities, effective resource allocation, strong governance, and delivery of strategic initiatives that support sustainable revenue growth, cost discipline, and organisational effectiveness.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Lead the development, articulation, and implementation of the GTS strategy, including priorities, targets, and strategic initiatives aligned to Group objectives.
  • Business Management & Performance: Drive business management disciplines, including planning, financial oversight, cost control, and performance management.
  • Operating Model & Transformation: Shape and deliver the GTS target operating model, organisation design, and transformation initiatives.
  • Governance, Risk & Control: Ensure effective governance, operational risk management, and adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements.
  • Analytics, Insights & Decision Support: Provide high-quality, timely insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and investment evaluation. This may include supporting sales teams with high quality insights, performance tracking, analytics, business lead generation, and growth initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior stakeholders across GTS, CIB, Finance, Risk, Compliance, HR, Marketing, and regional leadership teams.
  • People & Culture: Lead the GTS people agenda, building leadership capability, high-performing teams, and an inclusive, high-engagement culture.
  • Thought Leadership: Position GTS as a market leader through internal and external engagement, strategic communications, and industry participation.
  • Controls, Risk & Regulatory Responsibilities: Embed strong risk & control culture across business management activities; co-ordinate delivery of regulatory & internal reporting requirements, including timely response to data request.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Operate effectively in a global matrix, influencing across regions and functions without direct authority to drive alignment and consistent messaging.
    Lead and steer the team to deliver coordinated execution across diverse markets and stakeholders, achieving broader Business Management and GTS objectives.

Role requirements / Educational Qualifications / Certification / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification (MBA/PGDM/CA/CFA or equivalent) preferred
  • Strategic thinking and high level of business acumen and commercial awareness with proven record to drive initiatives to deliver tangible results. Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets or Global Trade Solutions experience would be an added advantage
  • Strong commercial, financial, and governance acumen, with experience in business planning / FRP / P&L management, cost management, and operating within regulated environments.
  • Experience with data analytics and having digital acumen is a plus.This includes analyzing both internal/external data and determining the best way to represent the conclusion to stakeholders. 
  • Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage

Eligibility Criteria

  • India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
  • Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
