Global Internal Audit (GIA) provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.
GIA aims to drive consistency in governance reporting and to streamline Operations processes across global, regional and business audit teams. A transformation programme has been initiated to support delivery of the vision and strategy. Based in India, an exciting new opportunity to be proactive; to think strategically; and to be creative in simplifying and automating the Operations activities of a large global audit function. You will report to the Head of Audit Operations, CIB and Europe. You will be responsible for supporting with the engagement with all levels of management and be able to efficiently and effectively translate requirements into impactful output.
As our Reporting and Planning manager, you will be responsible and accountable for:
- Management reporting, including Business as Usual and ad hoc reporting as well as streamlining the reporting process where possible to drive efficiency.
- Monitoring audit plan against delivery, plan changes, risk assessments and training completion by CIB audit teams.
- Assisting on CIB and Group committees reporting, including drafting of the reports and coordinating with multiple stakeholders within GIA, CIB and COO.
- Managing change activities which can include diverse tasks such as timeline planning to stakeholder engagement.
- Capturing, analysing and documenting existing business processes to drive consistency.
- Supporting other business functions where required.
Requirements
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Post graduate degree in Finance or Chartered Accountancy or equivalent
- 7 to 10 years experience, preferably in in an Internal Audit function or first or second line risk function. Experience in CIB would be preferable.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels, be confident and be a strong relationship builder.
- Proactive to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.
- Possess strong analytical and documentation skills with a high attention to detail.
- Results driven and confident to deliver at speed to deliver efficiently at short notice.
- Creativity to transform your client’s reporting requirements into impactful Visualisation.
- Be able to think strategically and commercially aware.
- A broad IT skill set, with experience in Python, SQL, and producing automated dashboard reporting from a central database and building Qlik dashboards will be ideal, but not essential.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data with the ability to interpret and summarise meaningfully.
