Role Purpose
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Regional Head for the Western Region within the HSBC Private Banking (PB) India team.
This is an opportunity to shape regional growth for HSBC Private Banking India by deepening relationships with ultra and high net worth clients. To build a holistic understanding of clients’ needs and provide full-service banking support across products and transactions. You’ll oversee a regional team of Private Banking Relationship Managers (PB RMs) to deliver performance against plan across revenue, customer satisfaction and cost containment targets. Key Responsibilities
- Grow HSBC’s share of ultra/high net worth client wallet by partnering with investment and product specialists.
- Build new client relationships and manage existing portfolios to generate new assets under management and revenue.
- Partner with PB RMs in client discussions to shape solutions across banking products and transactions.
- Lead the client management sector team to achieve team’s business objectives and ensure ongoing development of all team members.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet PB turnaround times (TAT) and client expectations.
- Govern regional operational oversight including supervision of business operations and service standards.
- Embed strong risk management across AML and Sanctions requirements including escalation of unusual activity when identified.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements.
- Bring deep experience in private banking with proven outcomes in acquiring and growing ultra and high net worth client relationships
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking products, systems and processes and how to apply them to client needs.
- Significant leadership experience as a strategic thinker with a high level of business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Evidence building sales and marketing plans that increase revenue from existing clients and generate new business.
- Apply rigorous operational risk management including identification, assessment, mitigation, controls and reporting.
- Work effectively within applicable regulations and internal standards including BIM, FIM and local RBI, AMFI and SEBI requirements.
- Hold required professional and regulatory qualifications for the market. Attain any internal standards as required by country.
