We are currently seeking a tax professional to join the INM Tax team

 

Job Introduction

 

The INM Tax team is responsible for managing direct tax compliance, advisory, assessments, litigation, tax accounting, and group reporting across all business lines within the entity. As tax regulations evolve and cross-border operations expand, the team plays a critical role in mitigating tax risks, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving strategic tax governance.


INM Tax is looking for a proactive and experienced Manager to support direct tax operations, litigation, and advisory functions for the bank.

 

The Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax computations, managing statutory and income tax assessments, advising business functions on domestic and international tax implications, and managing group reporting and uncertain tax position reporting, FATCA/ CRS advisory.


The Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining strong corporate tax governance, ensuring seamless audit support, and mitigating exposure during tax proceedings.

Principal Responsibilities of the Manager will include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Prepare Tax computation and appropriate documentation, ensuring filing before the statutory due date.
  • Support in the preparation of submissions for income tax assessment of the bank, make timely appearances, and file required submissions before various tax authorities.
  • Prepare appeals to be filed before CIT(A) and manage litigation strategy in coordination with legal counsels.
  • Prepare and file applications for obtaining tax exemption certificates for the bank
  • Issue timely guidance to assist Business Areas and operational functions in complying with evolving tax laws and rules.
  • Provide tax implications on outsourcing services / activities to group companies and third-party vendors.
  • Advise the Remittance team on cross-border transactions and issues related to Form 145/ 146.
  • Facilitate the annual tax audit and support statutory audit from a direct tax perspective.
  • Prepare the Tax Computation Statement (including deferred tax) for determining tax charge in financial statements (local and group reporting) and regularly update reporting relating to Uncertain Tax Positions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate group tax reporting, particularly of deferred tax and provision for tax.
    Work with stakeholders in INM and group companies to ensure consistent tax filings and reporting relating to Indian entities and overseas group entities.
  • Provide inputs from an Indian tax technical perspective on a need basis to overseas group entities for tax compliance, reporting, audit, and litigation.
  • Advice on FATCA/ CRS queries

 

 

Education Qualifications

 

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 2 - 5 years of post-qualification experience in Banking / Financial Services / Big 4.

 

Certifications

 

Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / International Tax Certifications (optional/preferred)

 

Other Requirements

 

The applicant should

 

  • Possess decent technical expertise in Indian Direct Tax laws and International Tax treaties.
  • Demonstrate experience in handling Income Tax assessments and managing tax audit proceedings for large corporates or banking entities.
  • Have sound knowledge of deferred tax accounting (Ind AS 12 / IFRS / AS 22) and group reporting frameworks.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-border stakeholders and tax authorities.

 

Additional Notes :Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
