We are currently seeking high caliber professional to join our team as Team Lead, Customer Due Diligence.
Principal responsibilities
- Lead a team to support HSIC Risk and Business Management team to properly manage the resilience risk and AML/FCR matters and all items related (Risk assessments, Control testing and environment, issues and incidents management)
- To assist and/or act as delegate of Head of Risk & Business Management in his prime responsibilities for complying with all regulatory requirements, to keep him informed of all significant compliance matters and potential breaches exposure, as well as to escalate and report timely for the Risk Owner
- Support to implement and enforce robust risk governance ensuring stakeholders to have visibility of key risks and remediation activity
- Support to implement and maintain operational risk management in the first line of defense
- Support to conduct reviews of control performance. Facilitate internal control remediation, if applicable
- Support to conduct independent review as and when required. Coordinate Audit Reviews and conduct the related validation
- Ensure compliance of Hang Seng Insurance with Group requirement relating to Business Continuity Plans
- To assist Head of Risk and Business Management in his / her prime responsibilities for complying with all regulations, to keep him / her informed of all significant compliance matters and breaches, as well as to compile timely reports for the department
- Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and other subject matter experts to lead INS in implementing risk management policies and guidelines and conducting Risk Control Assessment (RCA), ensure ongoing reviews and reporting as required
- Manage and implement CDD related initiatives and projects in accordance with the business model and risk appetite. Ensure plans, projects and expected performance is delivered within the timeline
- Drive customer centric and operation efficient CDD process and workflow
- Support the maintenance and update of procedure manuals
- Manage the onboarding, periodic review and trigger review for customers for PAO and non-PAO customers for individuals, trust & private investment companies, and entity customers according to the Group and Local standards
- Manage CDD activities (e.g. AAR, NNS) to cope with operational needs
- Perform QAQC and Continous Monitoring Programme / Activities
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in insurance or banking, with exposure to risk control and relevant qualification
- Sound knowledge of retail banking, investment markets, insurance products and regulations, operational risk management, financial crime compliance or other related areas
- Strong business sense, self-motivated with good communication, logical and positive thinking, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong business acumen with good problem solving, communication and analytical skills
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
