Private Banking - Secured Lending Products 

Hang Seng's Secured Lending business offers a wide spectrum of lending products to meet customer’s needs. With the dynamic business environment and emerging opportunities in the market, there is increasing demand on diverse lending solutions and enhanced customer journey.

Our team conducts market research to identify business opportunities, formulate and implement business strategies to grow the secured and unsecured lending business.

We are currently seeking high caliber professionals to join our department as Senior Manager, Other Secured Lending

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, ongoing enhancement and review of the secured lending product for Private Banking 
• Acting as process owner for secured lending processes, maintaining clear end-to-end process maps, control checkpoints and documentation to support effective risk management and client outcomes
• Coordinate and drive Private Banking product governance for secured lending products, including new product approval, material change assessment and regular product reviews to ensure compliance for internal standards and external regulations
• Drive wealth lending product development for Private Banking.
• Drive, develop and implement product and service initiatives for Private Bank to capture market share, enhance customer experience and maximize the profit for the Bank.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit, Risk, Compliance and Operations to implement product and process changes, ensure client journey, documentation and system enhancements are consistent with the suitability framework and product governance requirements
• Develop strategies and tactical plans in acquiring new businesses, as well as to plan actionable plans, processes, tasks and projects that facilitate the implementation of the strategies.
• Conduct regular review on secured lending products, working processes and service levels to enhance operational efficiencies, identify streamlining opportunities and initiate procedural changes and/ or system enhancements to compliance with relevant internal or external guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain the Bank’s and Group’s internal control systems and standards, including the adoption of relevant manuals, procedures and guidelines, and timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by the external regulators.
• Monitor and assess regulatory and industry developments, perform gap analysis and drive the implementation of required changes to processes, controls and documentation
• Provide training, guidance and ongoing support to front-line and support units on suitability, product governance, process requirements and regulatory expectations to strengthen risk awareness and sales discipline 

Requirements

• University graduate with related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years’ personal banking experience, with exposure to secured lending products as an advantage
• Strong business sense and project management skills in supporting the development and implementation of initiatives and possess the ability to solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
