Marketing

 

Hang Seng’s Marketing function is responsible for formulating marketing strategies and implementing marketing initiatives to build the brand of Hang Seng Bank, acquire new customers, strengthen customer loyalty to build long term relationships, and provide professional marketing support to different businesses to promote a comprehensive suite of products and services offered by the Bank.

 

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our department as Manager, Marketing Planning and Governance.

 

Principal responsibilities

 

1) Marketing governance, risk & compliance

  • Support Marketing teams to comply with the Bank’s governance framework, policies, risk and control requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Provide subject matter guidance and training to marketing teams on compliance topics, including campaign workflow and third-party management.
  • Provide support on Regulatory & Compliance matters; support identification, assessment, mitigation, control, and reporting of operational risks in line with Group requirements.
  • Support regular risk assessments and audits to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Track regulatory and policy changes, assess impacts to Marketing teams, review existing controls, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen compliance and controls.

 

2) Budget, cost & resource management

  • Monitor and manage Marketing budget and team’s operational costs, ensuring efficient use of funds and adherence to budgetary guideline
  • Prepare regular management reporting on budget utilization, commitments vs. actuals, accruals, and forecast accuracy for Marketing leadership.
  • Manage accruals and provisions in partnership with marketing teams and Finance to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and minimize surprises at quarter/year-end.
  • Support monitoring of operating overhead and FTE.

 

3) Team operations support

  • Support administrative tasks for Marketing teams, including coordination of staff engagement activities

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience in Banking, Marketing and/or Risk Management. Expenses management/Compliance/Corporate Governance experience is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly organized and comfortable managing complex topics.
  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, able to work independently under pressure.
  • Strong ownership mindset and service orientation.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese.
  • Advanced Excel skills is a must; dashboarding/reporting experience is a plus.
