We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Manager, Data and Information Risk.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist Hang Seng Insurance CDO to lead, drive and support data strategy initiatives
- Oversee and contribute to the implementation of policy and governance frameworks, to ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance
- Perform assessment & provide consultancy on business initiatives ensuring the compliance on Group Data Management controls, BCBS239, Data Privacy etc.
- Perform as enabler to accelerate the deployment and data migration to modern cloud platform (GCP)
- Facilitate the ramp up data analytics capabilities (skillset and mindset) with support
from Group & HASE - Collaborate with stakeholders across the Group & Bank (Business, Functions, IT, Risk Stewards) to align directives and deliverables
Qualifications
- University degree in Information Engineering / Computer Science or other relevant qualifications, with professional qualifications such as FLMI/LOMA an advantage
- Minimum of 8 years solid banking/insurance experience. Proven experience in data management & analytics definitely preferred
- Strong business sense, with good communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills as well as sound knowledge of application software
- Self-motivated with positive attitude to work independently. Good time management to ensure work is actioned efficiently and within compliance regulations
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
