Over the years, Hang Seng Bank has been committed to serving its customers by providing a full spectrum of insurance products, including Life Insurance manufacturing, the distribution of General Insurance and Medical products, and MPF business.

 

Insurance is a fast-growing business and one of the key drivers of Hang Seng Bank. As a well-established insurance entity, we strive to meet customers’ needs through an optimised service model across the Bank’s retail and commercial network, supported by a dedicated team of professionals.

We are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join our department as the Insurance Commercialisation Manager.

Principal responsibilities:

  1. Data analytics & customer insights (customer-centric growth)
  • Analyse customer and sales data to identify behavioural patterns, preferences, needs and pain points.
  • Develop segmentation approaches and insight-led hypotheses to improve acquisition, penetration, cross-sell and retention.
  • Design and optimise customer journeys and propositions using data-driven insights (e.g., funnel conversion, lead quality and drop-off analysis).
  • Build performance dashboards and define success metrics to track initiatives and channel execution.
  1. Commercial plan & go-to-market execution
  • Develop commercialisation plans aligned to business objectives and channel growth (e.g., target segments, proposition packaging, offer strategy, launch plan and sales enablement).
  • Partner with Distribution and product stakeholders to translate strategy into executable campaigns and frontline actions.
  • Develop, execute and monitor multi-channel communications to support distribution partners and sales teams.
  • Manage budgets and sales forecasts; evaluate campaign performance, track ROI and optimise resource allocation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and prioritise the commercial pipeline.

 

  1. Governance, risk & stakeholder management
  • Ensure commercial activities comply with relevant insurance regulations and internal policies.
  • Proactively identify and address risks associated with customer data handling and customer communications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Digital, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Analytics) to deliver initiatives end-to-end.

Requirements:

  • University graduate with a degree, preferably in marketing, finance, actuarial science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in marketing and/or commercialisation, preferably within insurance or financial services (experience in advertising, corporate communications or public relations is an advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of insurance products and sales planning.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, markets and customer behaviour.
  • Expertise in data analytics, segmentation and customer journey mapping.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, digital tools and marketing automation solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering data-driven results.
  • Strong self-motivation and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of life insurance products and services.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
