The opportunity: Private Assets Funds Supervisor– Permanent contract

Being part of HSBC in Luxembourg, you’ll help evolve and grow our securities services business. Have you overseen and signed off NAVs for private assets/alternative funds? Are you confident with LUX GAAP/IFRS (including consolidation)? Have you supervised day-to-day fund accounting operations?

What you will do:

Reporting to the Manager – Accounting and Valuation, you will be part of the multinational Fund Administration department of HSBC Continental Europe, Luxembourg Branch and work in a team dedicated to Private Assets and Alternative Funds. You will be responsible for the oversight of NAV Valuations and reporting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely responses to client and third-party queries. You will help maintain and improve service standards, while supporting junior Team Members (Senior Fund Accountants).

In this role, you will (but not limited to):

• Review and sign off NAV in a timely manner.
• Oversee day-to-day client fund accounting matters and execute operations (including payments and investor transactions).
• Assist auditors, internal and external parties with their queries.
• Support Assistant Managers when required, including contributing to ongoing queries and project work.
• Support all aspects of operational delivery in the daily servicing of clients.
• Liaise with clients, Investment Operations, GDS, Auditors, Tax compliance and third parties.
• Monitor deliverables accuracy and timeliness.

You should apply if you have:

• An accounting qualification (BA or equivalent).
• Relevant fund accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of private asset accounting for Real Estate structures.
• Thorough knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS, including Consolidation requirement.
• Good understanding of fund structures: pooling/multi-class/feeder/parallel and hybrid funds.
• Experience using accounting software Yardi.
• Understanding of Luxembourg fund regulation.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
