We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Strategic Finance Partnerships.
HSBC’s Infrastructure Finance (HIF) team is part of the Global Corporate and Institutional Banking business and provides a full suite of services to corporates, financial sponsors, financial institutions, and governments in several sectors, including Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Energy Transition, Transportation, Logistics, Support Services, and Digital/Telecommunication infrastructure.
Within HIF the strategic partnerships team specialise in structuring and executing finance platforms, partnerships, and innovative financing products that enable HIF to deepen its relationships with both public and private sector financial sponsor clients whilst delivering catalytic change to the Group’s sustainability agenda.

In this role you’ll:
- Work proactively to establish blended finance capabilities (corporate finance, fund finance and capital markets) for sustainable infrastructure projects in emerging markets mainly across Asia and the Middle East.
- Directly input into the development of the Sustainable Finance growth strategy covering topics such as market analysis, presentation materials, budgeting and planning etc
- Conduct detailed research including data analysis, financial modelling and valuations for use in transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Facilitate transaction execution by supporting due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and liaising with relevant internal and external counterparts
- Work closely stakeholders and key strategic finance partners (providers of de-risking and impact capital) that have a particular interest in sustainability / green investment projects
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge of the in the blended finance eco-system specifically related to sustainability projects such as sustainable finance investors, development banks, green climate Funds, warranty platforms, climate financing etc
- Demonstrable experience across a range financing structures (corporate finance, fund finance and capital markets) including Mezzanine, Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Collaterised Loan Obligations (CLO’s), Bridging etc
- Experience of working with counterparties across Asia and the Middle East
- Have a strong qualitative and quantitative analysis capability and used to working with complex financial data
- High level of commercial awareness to be able to work with various sources of information to produce easily digestible reports and presentations
- Possess very good stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
- Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities
