We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a VS Delivery Lead Messaging and Content.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Drive VSIP planning, monitor spend vs budget and lead prioritisation and funding decisions which includes working with product owners and stakeholders to understand demand and organise delivery capacity
- Break down strategic scope into executable work, assign clear ownership and leverage WSJF for prioritization, facilitate and guide the teams through Agile processes like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, removing roadblocks and impediments, to focus on delivering value
- Proactively manage VS level risks, issues and cross-VS/SVS dependencies, escalate delivery risks via Tier 1 and Global or Market Steering forums, lead and represent VS at key governance forums, track OKRs, deliver transparent and timely reporting
- Drive alignment with key stakeholders, build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, obtain support when required, unblock issues & dependencies and ensure market readiness
- Change framework adherence to ensure VS delivery aligns with HSBC’s Agile Change Framework, maintain governance, standards, and best practices across all phases
- Lead GTC teams to cultivate a high-performing, collaborative delivery culture. Collaborate with business and technology teams to foster effective engagement and delivery principles
To be successful you will need
- Proven leadership capability both of direct team and of a matrixed group of global stakeholders
- A recognised strategic partner who can translate vision into actionable plans, shield team from distractions, and navigate complexity
- Able to foster a culture of accountability and agility
- Experience of working across multiple markets and regions to drive delivery that is globally consistent yet locally tailored
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities and the ability to lead and influence
- Strong planning and governance skills
- Subject Matter Expertise in delivery within digital channels, including technical, marketplace and customer considerations
- Strong commercial focus, ability to balance risks vs. rewards and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business ensuring deliverables are in place and benefits are realised from digital investment
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues
- Pragmatic decision-making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on data and understand the implications
- They should be high in energy, have a sense of urgency and be driven
- Good understanding of project methodology, frameworks and best practice
- Ability to take a portfolio view and effectively manage multiple global and local deliveries whilst ensuring each project runs effectively
- Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across the globe
