We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the Markets & Securities Services team in the role of VP NFR Senior Manager- Securities Services

The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the UK risk and control framework, coupled with global oversight of the Agency Lending & Liquidity Services business within Securities Services.

In this role, you will:  

• Support the Head of Risk UK & Agency Securities Lending in leading the Securities Services (‘SSv’) Risk function alongside the Securities Services COO and in partnership with the respective Risk and Control Owners and Risk Stewards.
• Proactively support Risk Owners to prevent loss events and to ensure adherence to risk appetite. Manage risk events, understand their root cause and agree on remediation.
• Be responsible for all aspects of governance, provide strong oversight and challenge through subject matter expertise relating to the Agency lending & Liquidity Services business.
• Act as a subject matter expert with regards to securities lending and the relevant products. Provide co-ordination, advice, independent challenge and assessment in relation to risk and control related activities and exposures.
• Develop and maintain a suite of risk MI covering all products within Europe and Agency Securities Lending & Liquidity Services globally.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following: 

• Sound understanding of financial risks and ways to measure and mitigate them (market risk, traded risk, legal risk, VaR, stress testing, counterparty risk, credit risk etc)
• Extensive understanding of the agency/securities lending and treasury product including both front to back design and execution coupled with a broad knowledge of the securities services industry is essential or experience in custody, agency or fund administration
• Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail, you will be a self-starter who enjoys being hands on.    
• Good analytical and data management skillset with the ability to analyse large volumes of complex data, identify patterns, draw conclusions and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and work effectively across business lines and geographies.
