The Role
This is a senior transformation delivery role within HSBC Innovation Banking, responsible for leading complex, high-impact business and digital change initiatives across the UK business and, where appropriate, globally.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic and Business Change, you will take ownership of defined work packages and programmes from early shaping through delivery and embedment.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, balancing pace, quality, and risk in a regulated environment.
Leading team members through their deliverables, supporting the development of a high performing team with clear focus on execution and building for the future.
The role requires the ability to make and influence delivery decisions at pace, shape solutions in ambiguous situations, and ensure change delivers measurable business outcomes and transitions effectively into business as usual.
The team you’ll work with:
You will be part of the HSBC Innovation Banking Transformation team, which enables strategic change across growth, scaling, digital capability, and risk management.
The team works in close partnership with Business, Product, Technology, Architecture, Markets, and Group functions, operating within Agile and scaled delivery models.
You will work directly with senior sponsors, product owners, delivery leads, and control functions, acting as a trusted advisor and senior delivery partner across multiple initiatives and portfolios.

What you can expect to be doing:
Leading complex transformation programmes and work packages end to end, from early shaping through delivery and embedment
Owning delivery plans, milestones, budgets, and benefits realisation across assigned initiatives
Partnering with Business and Technology leaders to define scope, prioritise roadmaps, and manage interdependencies
Driving business readiness, market activation, and change adoption to ensure successful transition into BAU
Identifying, managing, and escalating delivery risks, issues, and dependencies across the portfolio
Acting as a senior escalation point for high-impact delivery, change, and stakeholder challenges
Influencing senior stakeholders and sponsors to enable timely decisions and unblock delivery
Supporting business case development, investment decisions, and financial management
Leading the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile ways of working and delivery constructs
Coaching delivery teams and leaders to improve execution quality and delivery maturity
Ensuring regulatory, compliance, and operational risk considerations are embedded throughout delivery
Operating effectively in a matrixed environment, working across regions, functions, and seniority levels
Where you’ll be based:
Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working to our employees, so you can flex between home and the office, with a current requirement to be in the office 2 days per week.
