The team you’ll work with:

The Warehouse Finance team sits at the heart of HSBC Innovation Banking’s Structured Finance platform, providing tailored asset backed debt facilities to high growth fintech and non-bank lenders across the UK and Europe.  We’re looking for a commercially astute and technically strong Senior VP to join our team, with a focus on originating, structuring and execution of complex warehouse facilities for our existing clients

What you can expect to be doing:

Own the structuring, underwriting and negotiation of warehouse transactions, being responsible for end to end deal management through:

a) origination

b) deal qualification and analysis

c) structuring and pricing

d) credit approval preparation

e) term sheet preparation and negotiation

f) evaluation of all credit, legal, structural and risk issues

g) review and negotiate all loan and transactional documentation, interfacing with counsel and clients and

h) post execution management

 

Build cashflow models and perform portfolio analysis

Ensure proper and timely completion of all internal booking and operational requirements

Interface and negotiate with legal advisors, third party providers, rating agencies etc.

Key point of contact for prospects and clients

Act as a senior face of HSBC Innovation Banking in the structure finance and Fintech ecosystem, representing the bank at select industry events and client pitches

Coach and mentor Associates and VPs, supporting their development in areas such as credit structuring, modelling and client management

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or finance-related field.  CFA or similar accreditation desirable

Structured finance experience from investment or commercial banks, specialised lenders, asset managers or rating agencies

Familiarity with due diligence processes, legal frameworks and risk governance in a regulated banking environment

Strong track record in structuring, negotiating and closing complex asset backed facilities across various collateral types (e.g. consumer loans, credit cards, invoice finance, real estate)

Skilled at financial modelling (must be highly proficient in loss coverage multiple analysis)

Adept at balancing commercial drivers with sound credit judgement and internal policy

A collaborative approach, balanced with the ability to work autonomously

Skilled in communicating complex ideas with clarity and confidence, both in written materials and client discussions

Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working to our employees, so you can flex between home and the office, with a current requirement to be in the office 2 days per week
