We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Risk Officer Alternative Investments.
You will sit at the heart of a growing and strategically important Alternatives business, partnering directly with investment teams to shape risk decisions across Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Hedge Funds. This is a highly visible role where you will challenge, influence and add real commercial value-moving beyond traditional risk oversight to actively support business growth while ensuring robust, forward-looking risk management.

In this role you will:
- Partner closely with investment teams, providing independent risk oversight and constructive challenge across Alternative investments
- Identify, assess and monitor key risks, including market, credit, liquidity and operational risks across portfolios
- Producing, maintaining and enhancing risk frameworks, risk dashboards & risk reporting
- Support the Global CRO and risk leadership, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and governance frameworks
- Review new transactions, products and strategies, ensuring risks are understood, appropriately managed and clearly communicated
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders globally, influencing decision-making and promoting a strong risk culture
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience within investment risk, market risk or credit risk, within asset management or Alternatives environment
- Strong understanding of Alternative asset classes such as Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and/or Hedge Funds
- Confident in risk identification, assessment and challenge, including the ability to provide independent and objective review and input.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to influence front-office and senior stakeholders
- Analytical capability and commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret complex data and investment theses/frameworks and translate into meaningful review, input & challenge to stakeholders/first line.
