We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Quantitative Equity Investment Specialist.
Lead the positioning, client engagement and growth of HSBC Asset Management Quantitative Equity proposition across Europe (existing strategies and new launches) by translating quant research and portfolio outcomes into clear, investable client narratives that support asset raising, while developing team capability and productivity (including AI enablement).

In this role you’ll:
- Aid the go-to-market positioning for Quantitative Equity by ensuring clear differentiation to drive the growth across institutional, wholesale and proprietary channels in partnership with Sales and Product
- Client-facing leadership & commercial execution opportunities with Sales/consultant relations and deliver consistent messaging on performance, process, risk and portfolio positioning.
- Support the strategy evolution and launches (enhancements, re-organisations, new funds) and act as a key resource for delivery including market insights, data, reporting and materials are distribution-ready
- Have input into thought leadership content that will support brand and flows including collaborating with Marketing/Media teams
- Coach or manage less experienced Investment Specialists including objectives, performance and development planning
- Drive productivity improvements, including AI enablement (within governance), and help standardise BAU processes to improve speed and quality.
To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following requirements:
- Have a thorough knowledge of Quantitative Equities including its investment structures and investor base
- Relevant level experience in the asset management industry, with preferable experience in quantitative equity / factor investing (Investment Specialist, Product Specialist, Strategist or similar)
- Strong client-facing track record with institutions/wholesale/consultants, with excellent presentation and writing skills
- People management/coaching experience with evidence of developing junior talent
- A high level of commercial awareness to be able to work with various sources of information to produce easily digestible reports, presentations and other content
- Possess very good stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
- Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple project related tasks, often with conflicting priorities
- Hold or studying for a CFA or equivalent qualification is preferred
