We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Product Manager, Trade Loans.

 

Trade Loans is a key working capital solution within GTS to assist our clients’ day-to-day trading needs. Based in UK, the Global Product Manager will be responsible for managing the global Trade Loans proposition, contributing to the digitisation of client journeys as well as landing the products along with relevant in-market product team.

 

In addition to that, the role holder will be also responsible for commercialisation of Trade Loans propositions in UK Non Ring-Fenced Bank.

 

The role works cross-functionally with global and country product managers, risk, sales, technology, and implementation teams to ensure a client-centric and commercially successful product offering.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Support the strategic roadmap of transforming the global Trade Loan product suite, including HSBC TradePay and digital seller loans.
  • Drive the commercialisation strategy to expand product adoption and maximise revenue growth over the next 2–3 years.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable product initiatives and regional enablement plans.
  • Coordinate with the Digital and Transformation teams to ensure the successful rollout and commercialisation of Trade Loans.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers in-country to ensure alignment, interoperability, and customer journey cohesion across propositions.
  • Innovate, define and prioritise the roadmap for Trade Loans enhancements based on client feedback, commercial performance, and market intelligence.
  • Monitor global adoption of STP trade loans and identify market-specific barriers or enablement opportunities.
  • Track and report KPIs across usage, margin, RWA consumption, and STP penetration.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within or outside GTS.
  • Partner with risk, finance, compliance, and local product teams to ensure alignment with global frameworks and commercial objectives.

 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in trade finance, preferably with direct involvement in Trade Loan or Structured Trade products
  • Thorough understanding of digital and emerging technology solutions in trade finance.
  • Understanding of credit lifecycle, risk controls, and operational processes in lending
  • Strong experience in delivering change and preferably through agile co-creation immersions
  • Detailed-minded in designing end-to-end client journeys, implementation and IT developments along with relevant stakeholders
  • Outstanding interpersonal, relationship management, influencing and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels internally and externally
  • Well-developed management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects.
  • Ability to lead and motivate other managers and staff, employing appropriate management styles.
  • High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives

The base location of this role is London operating a Hybrid working model
