We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Manager, Client Connectivity, Global Payments Solutions. The role is aimed at enhancing embedded banking services and integrations globally.
This is an opportunity to impact the strategy for Connected Banking partnerships. The role involves developing, commercialising, and managing risks for embedded services and integrations in Connected Banking, collaborating with global teams across transaction banking; defining product roadmaps aligned with client needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with regional teams, technology, risk, and frontline staff to address client trends and deliver compliant integrations. Responsibilities include capability governance, financial performance oversight, and risk management, with a clear focus on fostering global partner relationships to deliver technical product integrations.

In this role you’ll:
- Define product capability/feature roadmap for embedding HSBC products and services across our client ecosystems, including fintech’s, ERP and TMS providers. Ensure roadmap aligns to future state architecture and broader Client Connectivity and CIB goals, and reflects evolving client needs/behaviours, market infrastructure developments, regulation, and emerging technologies
- Set the direction for development of new product solutions/capabilities/ features, by defining and prioritising epics across external developers, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to prioritise high-value integrations within mandated systems to unlock delivery and improve visibility
- Collaborate with country/regional market management and client change teams to understand and address client and market trends within the capability roadmap and contribute to global Client Connectivity strategy. Proactively identify key themes emerging and work with operations and technology team to determine solution approach, supporting concept/business case creation and investment approval.
- Responsible for capability product governance including periodic reviews, financial performance (revenue and cost management) and managing closure of functional and non-functional risks/issues impacting the capability performance or operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute product commercialisation in partnership with business readiness and frontline teams to increase product uptake and performance, with ownership of benefit realisation
- Work closely with external partners and vendors to scope, negotiate, and deliver technical integrations and partnerships. Track partnership and integration performance and iterate to improve usage and customer outcomes
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience as a product manager in banking, fintechs, open banking or API driven platforms
- Knowledge/experience in payments and cash management and/or digital channels
- Demonstratable success in a product and/or channel management capacity; with knowledge of product management lifecycle
- Experience developing and commercialising new digital capabilities or client experience improvements is key
- A track record of delivering partnership integrations with banks, technical service providers, ERPs, TMS, fintechs, payment providers or financial data aggregators
- Agile methodologies experience, and an understanding of the roles of the agile delivery team (essential)
- A commercial and customer centric mind-set, with the ability to convey complex ideas simply
This is a hybrid role based in London.
London office relocation: Between January and April 2027, many office-based HSBC employees in London will move from either 8 Canada Square or Queen Victoria Street to one of our new sites at St. Paul’s or Canary Wharf. Depending on when they join, successful candidates may start at an existing office before moving or join directly at a new location.
