HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds.

 

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting.

 

The Regulatory Reporting team specialises in researching, managing and implementing response to all regulatory provisions that affect the firm’s investments with internal and external advisors, focusing on regulatory reporting to applicable regulatory bodies both locally and globally.

 

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting will oversee the day-to-day transaction reporting requirements for the business, including but not limited to EMIR, MiFID, POTAM, SEC13F and other UK focused regulatory reporting regimes. The role will focus on core processing which includes identifying reporting issues and resolving exceptions. The Senior Manager will work with internal and external teams to implement robust controls, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as well as providing status updates to management.

 

In this role you will:

  • Ensure a robust daily/monthly/quarterly/annually regulatory reporting regime is maintained to provide timely and accurate reporting and any issues are reported and resolved on a timely basis
  • Review and monitor that the regulatory returns are fit for purpose and meet the reporting requirements as defined by the local regulator.
  • Manage the preparation of regulatory reports that are issued to key stakeholders and supported by appropriate analytical review.
  • Ensure that all relevant controls are always operating effectively and are linked in Helios (HSBC Internal system) to local policies and procedures and that they are maintained and updated when required.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and review existing processes with a view to generating reporting efficiencies and improving the quality of the output.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Very high level of knowledge and experience of EMIR & MiFID Trade reporting including UK focused regulatory reporting is essential
  • Strong evidence of building control frameworks at both a local and global level with the ability to link them to control frameworks is essential.
  • Have a strong analyst skillset with evidence of working with complex financial data is essential.
  • High level of communication skill and able to work with multi-geographical and culturally diverse teams is essential.
  • Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities is essential.
