We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Liquidity - Treasury.

You’ll step into a high-impact Senior Liquidity Manager role in the HCIB Treasury team, partnering closely with Global Businesses and Finance to shape liquidity strategy through effective transfer pricing (FTP) and robust liquidity risk management. You’ll use your deep understanding of Global Markets (including Prime Business), behaviouralisation principles and liquidity risk to assess and challenge the entity’s liquidity risks, controls, buffers, limits and triggers then take your insights straight to decision-makers by presenting at ALCO and other governance forums. You’ll also help strengthen the bank’s control environment by drafting key sections of Liquidity Risk policy (including ILAAP) and supporting related frameworks (ICAAP and Recovery & Resolution Planning), while driving resource optimisation to improve risk-adjusted returns giving you strong visibility, senior stakeholder exposure, and a clear platform to grow your expertise and influence.

In this role you'll:

  • Assess the entity’s liquidity risks and evaluate how effective liquidity controls, buffers, limits and triggers are in preventing/ detecting risk
  • Act as a liquidity business partner providing advice, guidance and education to stakeholders on liquidity management
  • Enhance and develop a transparent liquidity FTP framework, working with Global Businesses and Finance to support liquidity strategy
  • Optimise financial resources to improve the entity’s risk‑adjusted returns, and analyse/interrogate liquidity reporting to understand business drivers
  • Produce and present governance materials (ALCO/ sub‑ALCO), draft key Liquidity Risk policy documentation (including ILAAP sections), contribute to ICAAP and Recovery & Resolution Planning, and execute/monitor Treasury FIM liquidity policies and procedures (including limits)


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable Liquidity Management (1st or 2nd line) or Financial Resource Management experience working within a top tier Bank or Professional Services firm
  • Liquidity supervisory experience at the PRA
  • Strong knowledge of the Global Markets business (structure, product suite and strategic drivers), including Prime Business
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and liquidity risk across financial assets/ activities (derivatives, equities, debt, hedges, Prime Business, and other market activities)
  • Experience with external statutory and regulatory liquidity reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders to deliver multiple objectives alongside tactical tasks
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations and business-line functions, including delivery on large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects
