We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Group Media (Reputation).

 

The Senior Manager, Group Media (Reputation) will support the wider media team to strengthen reputation through delivery of external communications, effective handling of reputational media issues and proactive media engagement. The role will also be responsible for the efficient running of the Group’s media governance policy.

In this role you will:

 

•Take the lead in the long-term strategic management of HSBC's reputation within the media landscape. This involves anticipating potential reputational matters and implementing proactive measures to address them effectively.

•Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on external media opportunities that align with HSBC's strategy. This guidance aims to enhance the bank's reputation by leveraging media engagements that reflect our values and objectives.

•Directly manage the Group Media Relations and Insight Manager, ensuring that media strategies are effectively executed, and insights are leveraged to support HSBC's reputational goals.

•Spearhead the delivery of innovative media relations strategies that bolster HSBC's reputation, engaging key audiences and stakeholders effectively.

•Build and sustain strong relationships with influential media stakeholders, positioning HSBC as a trusted and authoritative voice in the industry.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•Media Relations background with experience of creating and implementing strategies.

•Ability to establish and nurture effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to deliver information to senior stakeholders.

•Knowledge of social media channels and their uses to complement traditional media strategies.

•Prior experience of managing and coaching colleagues.

 

This role is based in London, Hybrid.
