The Role
At the heart of HSBC Innovation Banking Business finance, this role is critical in helping business set and achieve its strategic objectives. You’ll be helping the business understand its monthly performance, highlighting key trends, forecasting the P&L and understanding why a business is varying compared to its strategic objectives. You will also build a strong understanding of our business and key stakeholders to help support ad-hoc analysis requests to improve to provide insights and support improved business performance. Most importantly you use your understanding of financial performance, curiosity and strong business relationships to help manage Risks & Opportunities to the Financial Plan. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to play a pivotal role in an exciting and growing organization. 
 
 
The Value You Will Add
Monthly Management reporting to support business line profitability reporting
Identification and management of Financial Risk and Opportunities across the entire P&L.
Building of monthly management MI packs including variance analysis and appropriate controls
Forecasting, budgeting and scenario analysis
Ad-hoc value driver analysis
Stakeholder management with key business contacts to help them understand performance
Building strong control environment to support the use of output across a variety of teams

You Will Need
Strong track record of financial and management reporting
Experience of budgets, forecasting and scenario analysis
Building strong control environments and structuring teams to minimise key person risk
Proven ability to interpret commercial drivers and identify risks, opportunities and sensitivities.   
Evidenced experience of understanding/management of banking or financial services P&Ls and B/S 
Advanced Microsoft Excel, data manipulation and reporting layer skills required for model development and executive level output and reporting
Finance qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Understanding of HSBC’s systems and processes advantageous.

Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working to our employees, so you can flex between home and the office, with a current requirement to be in the office 2 days per week.
