We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Communications Manager.

 

The Senior Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in managing HSBC's reputation with external audiences. The role requires a communications professional with a proven track record in developing and implementing external communications strategies. The individual will be responsible for contributing to and leading communications plans and projects that support the commercial and transformation goals of HSBC.

In this role you will:

 

•Prepare communications plans for Group strategic projects and M&A transactions.

•Drive a coordinated communications response to global major incidents and crises.

•Identify and monitor risks to the bank’s reputation, preparing strategic communications plans to mitigate potential negative impacts.

•Maintain and improve the Group’s recovery and resolution communications plans, exercise capabilities and support regulatory self-assessments.

•Provide communications support for global programmes to improve operational resilience and cybersecurity preparedness.

•Support and advise on Group External Communications policies and procedures.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•Proven experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans for complex projects.

•Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies.

•Able to work within an ambiguous environment, with the ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively.

•Experience of crisis communications, with the ability to think clearly and show considered judgement under pressure.

•Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives to articulate strategic priorities.

•Experience in managing external communications policies and ensuring alignment with internal governance requirements.

 

This role is based in London, Hybrid.
