We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Relationship Manager, SME Business Banking.

 

You will provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. You will have both external and internal stakeholders, Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams.

In this role you will:

  • Face to face meetings with SME clients, with 50 - 70 clients in portfolio
  • Managing portfolio incomes of approximately £1.5 – £2m and SME clients with a £2-15m turnover
  • Driving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business
  • Growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network
  • Building a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes
  • Comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience of working in relevant environments, i.e., Business/Corporate Banking, Financial Services
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs
  • Evidence of commercial lending will be advantageous
  • Experience of leading and delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service
  • Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same 
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
