We’re currently seeking a proactive and customer focused person to join our team in the role of Relationship Manager, SME Business Banking.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our SME Business Banking segment where you’ll provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. This role will have both external and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Product Development, Risk and Compliance teams.

In this role you’ll:

 

  • Hold face to face meetings with SME clients, with up to 60 clients in portfolio
  • Manage portfolio incomes of approximately £3.0-4.0m and SME clients with a £2-15m turnover
  • Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business
  • Grow our business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging our extensive network
  • Build a strong understanding of our clients’ businesses and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Experience of working in financial services and an established network in the Diversified Industries sector
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs
  • Knowledge and experience of commercial and complex lending
  • Experience of leading and delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service
  • Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same  
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
