We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Process Architect.
The role sits within the Business Architecture team, under the Risk and Compliance COO, and is responsible for the quality, structure and coverage of the Risk and Compliance Process Catalogue.
The role offers great exposures to a wide range stakeholders from across Risk and Compliance: Value Streams (Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance, Traded Risk, iWPB Risk, ERM and MRM), CCO, as well as programme leads (e.g. IRR, Ops Res).
As the Process Architect you will be responsible for all process architecture and the operationalisation of Group guidance and standards within Risk & Compliance. You will own the process catalogue, act as a “clearing house” of process work required, and act as process structuring and modelling SME to BAU and change teams, leading from the front on critical/urgent process modelling initiatives.
In this role, you will: -
- Define, maintain and own the process architecture for Risk and Compliance, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures, a high level of quality of the modelling and that best practices in terms of structuring are applied.
- Coordinate process catalogue changes across actors, and specifically across Sponsored Change Initiatives / Programmes, Value Streams and the BAU Process Maintenance Team under CCO.
- Coach fellow process management practitioners within Risk and Compliance to drive a culture of excellence.
- Directly contribute to process modelling efforts when required, to set an example of what good looks like or to overcome a spike in demand e.g. to meet a regulatory deadline.
- Actively seek and shape optimisation oportunities, both in terms of process management ways of working (e.g. AI tooling) and process optimisation, ensuring our process knowledge is an asset to drive efficiency.
- Represent Risk and Compliance in process architecture, standards and tooling discussions.
- Input to the future direction and ways of working for Risk and Compliance and Group Business Architecture.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: -
- Extensive experience of modelling processes, including structuring complex end to end flows and handling process variability.
- Expertise in managing a complex process catalogue, including its structure and the operating model for its maintenance.
- Tooling experience: ARIS, process mining and process discovery.
- Proven experience of successfully identifying and qualifying Process Optimisation opportunities.
- Solid knowledge of embedding Process Management within a complex organisation.
- Understanding of how Processes fit within a wider Business Architecture Framework (Value Streams, Capabilities, Services, Assets, Risks, Controls).
- Ability to navigate a large, diverse, and organizationally complex organisation.
- Financial and/or non-financial Risk domain experience, preferably in a major financial institution
The role can be based at our London, Whitley, Chester, Sheffield or Edinburgh locations.
