This Premier Specialist Relationship Director serves as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of High-Net-Worth Premier Clients who are working in the Finance and Insurance industries. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationship with high-net-worth clients, growing their customer portfolio and securing new business. As a Premier Specialist Relationship Director, you will be expected to build and maintain a portfolio that consists of clients with links to the Finance and Insurance industry. Potential clients have been identified as part of the collaboration with EBS and this will be the third portfolio in the team specialising in these industries.
The Premier Specialist Relationship Director is tasked with proactive client contact, identifying wealth needs, and referring to appropriate specialists. This role requires a close working relationship with EBS and Private Bank in order to grow new client opportunities. You will be required to build a professional network both with internal and external stakeholders to create awareness and grow your personal brand within the industry.
The jobholder forms an integral part of the Specialist team and wider HSBC Wealth management team. You will be expected to identify opportunities in day-to-day banking activities and support clients with any Financial Management needs through the Wealth Managers and or Private Bank.

In this role you will:
- Actively managing complex client requirements, work closely with Wealth Managers to meet the wealth needs of clients and any other banking requirements.
- Ensure world class client service and performance while serving as the primary point of contact for personal banking and wealth needs for your portfolio of clients.
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with your portfolio of clients, understanding their financial goals and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the value of existing client portfolios, proactively identifying wealth needs and services to maximize client satisfaction and retention, as well as business performance.
- Adhere to structures and processes for the management of credit, operational, reputational, criminal, and regulatory risk.
- Forge strong relationship with key stakeholders such as Wealth Managers, Mortgage and EBS colleagues.
- Be responsible for the portfolio and ensure it is effectively run, managing to the target operating Model (TOM) as defined by HSBC.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Premier service. Experience working in relevant environments, such as Frontline retail banking, Premier and Wealth.
- Experience working in relevant market/context, Relationship management experience preferred, lending experience and Managing high net-worth customers.
- Proven experience of continually improving the service delivered to customers.
- Proven ability to confidently work independently and take responsibility for own development.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively, and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations.
- Strong Experience building effective networks both internally and externally and creating opportunities for others to work collaboratively.
- Experience of building and managing relationships with significant customers.
The base location for this role is HSBC, London Bridge, Borough High St, London and will be a Hybrid role working between branch and client’s homes and offices.
