The Marketing Manager, Content - CIB Content Centre of Excellence will support the Senior Manager in delivering high-quality, consistent, and impactful content across global CIB marketing initiatives. This role will have responsibilities including executing our content strategy, curation, governance, and optimisation, ensuring content aligns with business priorities and resonates with our diverse CIB audiences.  The role will contribute to content management, prioritisation, and the creation of compelling materials to support business growth, brand positioning, and client/customer engagement.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content – CIB Content Centre of Excellence, the role will assist in the planning, creation, and deployment of global content assets across multiple channels and regions. The role holder will help lead the Global Editorial Board, ensuring content aligns with strategic priorities, and will support the integration of content across wider Marketing teams, including the wider Marketing Services teams, Digital Marketing teams and local teams.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

Campaigns, Content & Projects

  • Support the execution of the global content strategy, ensuring alignment with CIB marketing priorities and business objectives.
  • Assist in maintaining the global content calendar to ensure consistency, timeliness, and integration with other marketing activities.
  • Contribute to content prioritisation processes, focusing on high-impact initiatives aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and compliance standards.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with content agencies, writers, and other external partners.
  • Work closely with other marketing functions, including campaigns, events, digital, and brand, to ensure integrated campaign delivery.

Commercial Strategy & Growth Marketing

  • Assist in identifying and prioritising content marketing opportunities within the Global Corporates and Institutions segments.
  • Support content curation efforts, ensuring existing assets are optimised, repurposed, and relevant to global and local needs.

Measurement & Insights

  • Track and report on content performance metrics, providing insights to inform continuous improvement.
  • Analyse data to refine content strategies and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of performance dashboards and reporting frameworks

Leadership & Teamwork 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, regional teams, and Marketing Strategy leads to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Participate in regular global check-ins for marketing activity across Global and Local CIB teams, providing support and guidance on content-related initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment that reflects HSBC’s values and promotes Agile Principles

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable marketing experience, with a focus on content marketing, content strategy, or editorial management within global banking or financial services.
  • Experience in content planning and execution, with the ability to translate client and market insights into effective marketing materials.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills within global, matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus.
