We are currently seeking an experienced professional to be an integral part of our team in the role of Investor Relations Manager.
The Investor Relations (IR) team serves as the vital link between HSBC and its external financial stakeholders, including equity and debt investors, analysts, and rating agencies. This team is responsible for communicating the bank's strategic vision, financial performance, and market position, ensuring transparency and fostering trust. By managing relationships and providing insightful updates, the IR team supports HSBC's reputation and facilitates informed investment decisions.

In this role you will:
• Engage with hedge fund investors, explaining HSBC’s strategy and performance, and responding to their questions, with a view to becoming the account lead over time
• Craft compelling presentations and Q&A briefings to effectively communicate HSBC's strategic initiatives.
• Address information requests from investors, analysts and other stakeholders promptly and accurately, fostering trust and engagement.
• Represent HSBC at investor meetings and conferences, articulating HSBC’s strategy and performance.
• Lead initiatives to design and integrate AI technologies into the IR team, enhancing data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Have day-to-day responsibility for ESG tasks within the IR function, including building trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, facilitating engagement between HSBC specialists and external stakeholders, co-ordinating the collection of responses to external information requests, and tracking HSBC’s main external ESG ratings
• Prepare insightful briefings for senior management, highlighting key ESG performance metrics and strategic recommendations.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Previous experience within banking and financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical, communication and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in AI technologies and their application in data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of ESG principles and their application in the financial sector.
This role is based in London, Hybrid.
