If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Investment Associate, Subscription Line Facilities Strategy.

The Subscription Line Facilities strategy has been established by HSBC Asset Management to provide investors with a diversifier to traditional credit strategies, with low duration and low correlation to other Private Credit strategies. Sub-Line Facilities (also known as Cap Calls Facilities) are short term liquidity lines designed to bridge capital deployment and capital calls from investors. They are temporary and backed by uncalled capital commitments, as such they are not a permanent source of debt finance. Other Eligible Assets will include cash and cash equivalents to manage Fund liquidity.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Provide analysis and assessment of Subscription Line Facilities for recommendation to the Investment Committee and the continuous monitoring of the portfolio
  • Support deal origination, due diligence, execution, and monitoring of financing transactions, as well as contribute to marketing and fundraising activities
  • Under the guidance of the Portfolio Manager, meet with prospective investors throughout the sales process and help drive the conversion of opportunities to wins
  • Assist in the production of the monthly and quarterly portfolio monitoring and reporting including KPI dashboards, internal reports, valuation data, returns data, investor reporting and presentations
  • Collaborate with the internal operations team to ensure that the day-to-day running of the Fund remains efficient

To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following requirements:

  • Good knowledge and experience of how general Fund Financing models work
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability of working with complex financial data, modelling and investment appraisal for Private Equity portfolios
  • High level of communication skill to be able to work with information to produce easily digestible reports and presentations
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
  • Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities

Opening up a world of opportunity.

Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. At HSBC, we’re dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces - no matter their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age. We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring careers at HSBC are inclusive and accessible for everyone to be at their best. We take pride in being a Disability Confident Leader and will offer an interview to people with disabilities, long term conditions or neurodivergent candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
