We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of UK Corporate Trust Operations
The primary purpose of this role will be to manage the Corporate Trust Operations teams in London, overseeing the activities around the Common Depository Vault, Corporate Actions and Primary Market settlements into the international central securities depositories (ICSDs) and crest. You will maintain a strong relationship with senior managers and act as a key point of contact to these managers for all Corporate Trust matters.

In this role you will:
- Ensure that the Common Depository team in London complete the daily CASS requirements around the Vault Activity and that all monthly CASS Tasks are completed by the team in a timely manner
- Support the Managers in City offices, to ensure that the functions performed by the team are robust and in line with the requirements of our clients
- Manage the relationship with the Corporate Trust Client Service Management teams and other ISV Stakeholders, to address any concerns raised by these teams or Operations that may impact the service we provide to clients
- Act as a senior escalation contact for the ICSDs so that as Common Depository the service that we provide to Euroclear and Clearstream is in line with our appointment, ensure actions logs are maintained and attend any service reviews
- Represent ISV Operations at CASS working groups and governance meetings, to ensure that ISV issues are raised and addressed, along with providing updated to the ISV Operations teams of any required changes
- Assist with any escalations that may arise from either Internal Semi-Annual Vault Reconciliations or external CASS Audits, along with following up with the relevant teams and Compliance to close off any action items and implement preventative controls
- Work with other stakeholders to complete any Risk or Compliance reviews of the functions performed by the London and City offices, along with ensuring any potential findings are addressed and reported accordingly.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven background in the Corporate Trust and Markets business (preferably Common Depositary/New issues) with demonstrable leadership management experience
- Proven knowledge of CASS regulations covering the protection of client assets and strong, demonstrable risk awareness with an understanding of legal documentation governing products and services supported desirable
- High level of accuracy and vigilance with a strong ability to multi-task and manage frequently changing priorities
- Knowledge of capital markets products and process flows with the ability to multi-task and manage frequently changing priorities
- Knowledge of SWIFT including MT535, MT536, MT544/542, MT564 & MT566 messages relating to the securities markets
- Strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills for internal and external clients in addition to solid people management skills with the ability to lead, develop and drive a team
