Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. We facilitate talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.   

We are recruiting for an exciting role as Head of TAO Cost Management within our People team at HSBC who will lead and manage our global invoicing process at HSBC. This role represents Global People CAO by providing Global People CAO services to a specific client group. 

The role will provide commercial and operational business management support to the client group as part of the Global People CAO team. 

It will also drive cross-regional collaboration and execution of key strategic initiatives. As well as play an influential role, in supporting Senior Governance forums and supporting day to day matters related to, Finance, Risk & Compliance, Operations, People and Communications teams.

In this role you will: 

  • You will oversee or lead in execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims. 

  • Manage the client group’s regulatory and legal responsibilities. 

  • Lead business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning. 

  • Inform and influence the decision making of leadership positions by use of management information, business performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy. 

  • Support the maintenance of risk and control activities, including facilitating discussions with SMEs, coordinating the review and update of the People Risk Management Policy and FIM Procedures. 

  • Lead in forums and committees to represent view of business area. 

  • Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance. 

  • Working with external service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured. 

  • Work with the Global People COO office to manage the control environment within client group including aspects related to Risk and Compliance 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

  • Strong financial management – preferably experience of creating and managing Financial Resource Plans.  Financial Analyst, Financial Planning qualified background a plus. 

  • Strong presentation and writing skills. With solid Excel skills for the purposes of reporting and analysis.  

  • Strong team player who can work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure. 

  • Extensive experience in project management and execution. 

  • Ability to influence and work in a global cross functional team with strong stakeholder management skills. 

  • In-depth knowledge of the Group, including proven ability to develop and maintain cross functional and global networks across HSBC.  

  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry globally and key trends.  

 

This role is based in London. This is a full-time hybrid role with 3 days in the office.
