We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Head of Counterparty Credit and Market Risk Weighted Assets.
In this role, you will:
- This is a high visibility role as you will be accountable for CCR and MR RWAs reporting for HSBC Group consolidated, HSBC Bank plc and HSBC UK Bank plc PRA regulatory submissions and disclosures. This includes presentation of results to a number of senior stakeholders including the Group Financial Controller, Group Head of Regulatory Reporting, HSBC Bank plc and HSBC UK Bank plc Financial Controllers.
- You will manage the teams’ interaction and relationship with key internal stakeholders including Markets Securities Services Capital Management, Risk, Finance Change, Policy as well as regulator requests.
- You will help drive an elevated level of control standards and controls environment including playing a leading role in implementation of IRR outcomes which is a key priority for the bank.
- You will manage a number of Group senior leadership relationships, work with teams across geographies, on multiple products, and systems thereby helping develop strong leadership, communication, stakeholder and project management skills.
- In addition to the above, you will be responsible for:

- Global Production and Reporting of Counterparty Credit & Market Risk Weighted assets in HSBC’s regulatory submissions to the PRA as well the external disclosures.
- Managing the production and review of CCR & MR RWA data for COREP, Pillar 3, GSIB, PRA Stress testing, Leverage exposure reporting to the PRA (Prudential Regulatory Authority).
- CCR exposures data for Large Exposures reporting, providing necessary oversight, in-depth reviews of output and presenting to the Group and HBEU Wholesale Risk management team.
- Providing the supervision for regional CCR RWA production for HKMA, ECB, US Fed and MENA reporting. Lead interactions with all the Regional Finance or legal entity teams.
- Leading the implementation of uplifts under the Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) program for CCR and MR and the supplementary processes including GSIB, Leverage and Large Exposures reporting which is a key priority area for the bank.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of regulatory reporting across PRA RWA and leverage reporting.
- Markets Product Knowledge will benefit the role holder.
- Experience of managing sizeable teams across multiple geographic locations demonstrating influencing and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple demands from stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
- Ability to manage critical decisions in often time pressured situations.
- Qualified Accountant or QBE with strong PRA Regulatory Rule book knowledge specially around trading book exposures.
The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
