We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Head of Business Banking Marketing, UK

 

The position is for a senior marketing leader, who knows how to turn business strategies into award-wining marketing strategies, with the experience to drive growth in Business Banking at one of the world’s biggest and most recognisable banking brands.

 

The role sits in the UK Marketing function (reporting to the Head of Commercial Banking Marketing) and plays an active role in the senior leadership team for UK Business Banking. You will provide relationship management to senior stakeholders, ensuring that business strategies and objectives are effectively translated into well-defined marketing strategies and programmes that are continuously optimised and measured to drive growth and results. Responsible for a £multi-million budget and for creating a compelling vision for our Business Banking customers by leading the conception and delivery of a clear and focussed marketing plan to reach and engage our target audiences – a senior role that requires a detailed understanding of how to grow market share and income through a variety of channels and marketing strategies.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the development of the marketing strategy and annual planning in support of Business Banking growth
  • Own the short and long-term marketing plan for Business Banking – continuously optimising the plan and activities – in support of significant market share growth
  • Work with the business to agree budgets, targets and growth strategies
  • Work across a range of external agencies and internal teams to deliver cross channel marketing support, materials and activations in support customer acquisition, income growth, client experience and brand building
  • Use data and insights to inform, shape and optimise activities and take customer/market intelligence and emerging trends, to influence and shape how we engage with our customers and stakeholders and drive customer-centred change
  • Ensure go-to-market readiness for product launches and commercialization programs in the Business Banking space
  • Develop and delivers marketing tools to sales team to support them in client acquisition and growth activity
  • Leverage expertise and resource from across the UK Marketing team and partner with our centres of excellence to deliver outstanding marketing activity and brand experience

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Deep knowledge and experience with brand strategy, marketing campaigns development, digital marketing, planning and execution - preferably within financial services - commercially minded strategic marketer who can be a driver of change and innovation
  • B2B/ SME experience is preferable – but consideration given where demonstrable experience of growing a business is evident
  • Experience of commercial marketing and customer acquisition and market share is desirable with deep expertise in strategic marketing and a proven ability to deliver results through multiple teams - ideally in Financial Services
  • Strong experience of partnering with business stakeholders to deliver marketing that is aligned to commercial and strategic goals and able to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a simple and meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Broad experience of using data and insights to shape marketing strategy
  • Superior project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously using internal and agency resources.
  • Strong leadership skills, a highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills at a practical operational level as well as a senior level with a proven experience of interactions with Senior Executives team management skills, and, an ability to guide and lead a diverse team – both direct reports and cross functional teams

 

 

This is  hybrid role and will be based in London or Birmingham.
