We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Industrials Analyst
HSBC Global Investment Research (GIR) is a client servicing and revenue generating’ global business unit, positioned as one of the key business lines of corporate & institutional banking. GIR is an independent research house with a strong focus on Emerging Market. We have analysts covering 1,700+ companies, 60+ economies, 45+ sovereigns’ rates and 50+ currencies globally. In addition to partnering with the CIB clients, Global Research also collaborates with the rest of the group businesses, such as IWPB.

In this role you will:
- Actively involved in assisting with equity coverage of some of the largest publicly listed capital goods companies
- Produce public market data analysis, financial modelling and relative and fundamental equity valuations.
- Work closely with other teams within GIR globally to produce timely and insightful equity and thematic research reports.
- Deliver thought leadership and actionable recommendations, combining local insights, global connectivity and professional integrity
- Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Interpret data on market and economic events to identify and describe trends
- Attend and report on corporate events, roadshows, company presentations and conferences
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong foundation in accounting, financial modelling and valuation
- Proven working experience in equity research and knowledge of the ASEAN industrials sector
- Possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines.
- A collaborative team player with proactive mindset.
- Mastering of regional language, a plus
