We are looking for a dynamic and customer focused person to join our team in the role of Global Cash Management – Sales Manager. This is a corporate role based within Global Payment Solutions, Commercial Banking UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive revenue for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining strategic relationships with new and existing clients in order to identify and sell innovative cash and clearing management solutions to the Corporate segment.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a portfolio of complex client to grow existing revenues, and generate new income for HSBC from both clients and prospects across the GPS product suite domestically and internationally with corporates across London and the South
- Broadening and deepening client relationships and developing new business through ideas & solutions, travelling to customers’ premises to conduct meetings
- Customer planning and monitoring/contact as part of the Commercial Banking (CMB) client planning process
- Working with key stakeholders including, but not limited to CMB, Product Development, Client Management to ensure a positive client experience
- Sharing success and narrative with management and stakeholder and highlighting any challenges
- Maintaining close liaison with key stakeholders to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, share key insights and the functionality & launch of new products and services
- Continually reassessing the Sales process through to implementation and work closely with other stakeholders to identify efficiencies
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for good customer outcomes
- Managing costs within plan and keep losses to a minimum. Ensuring all requests for ops losses/refunds, travel, out of plan expenditure, hospitality events etc. are appropriate and correctly authorized
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience in a Sales or Business Development role
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
- Proven experience of developing and executing business opportunities to meet client needs & deliver commercially
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Transaction Banking / Global Payment Solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share and present information in a clear, concise and accurate way
- Ability to manage competing priorities, focus on delivery and management of stakeholders
- Proven experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer experience and proactively look for innovative ways to improve the proposition delivered to customers
- Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Certificate of International Cash Management, ACT would be advantageous
