Global Asset Management, being part of the Group investment businesses with more than US$400 billion of assets currently under management, is the core investment platform of the HSBC Group which provides investment solutions to retail, institutional and private clients in all major financial markets.

The candidate works as part of the London based Investment IT team, linking closely with the wider IT team based across Asia, Europe and the Americas, providing Specialist Services and Support for Global Asset Management (AMG) Front Office users.

AM largely utilise a global operating model based around BBG AIM as their core OMS. There are several new and evolving in-house and vendor-built services which continue to be built and rolled-out to facilitate the goal of a globally consistent operating model and improve efficiencies in Front Office processes.

The successful candidate will be working directly for the Head of Front Office Technology, working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a range of Front Office Services.

In this role you will:

• Provide consultancy and support for a range of front office platforms, but with specialist knowledge of the Bloomberg eco system and working with Bloomberg
• Ensure issues within the Bloomberg platforms are resolved as efficiently as possible - be that on-site or via working directly with Bloomberg engineers.
• Work with PMs and dealing desks to ensure smooth operation of all business processes
• Support and resolution of all incidents impacting the Front Office
• Deal with escalations and vendor management with Bloomberg for the AIM product.
• Ensure permanent resolution of issues and appropriate follow-ups for issues impacting the Front Office, whether as a result of a vendor product or in house developed service.
• Work with the Head of Front Office tech to refine and improve the Global Front Office Operational model.
• On board of new applications and services into the Front Office portfolio
• Provide Bloomberg domain knowledge un order to support DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Knowledge of Bloomberg Aim and the wider BBG eco system
• Experience within a front office support/dev/BA role, working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Proven track record of defining support processes and shaping implementation
• Service/Vendor management experience
• Broad knowledge of ITIL and Dev-Ops best practices
• Broad knowledge and experience in the investment management industry covering business processes front to back
• Proven ability to translate group standards and best practice into practical application locally, proposing creative solutions and driving implementation in a risk conscious manner
