We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Executive Communications Manager.

 

The Executive Communications Manager will support the wider Executive Communications team in implementing an integrated internal and external communications strategy for the Group Chairman and Group Chief Executive bringing expertise in strategic communication through storytelling, speechwriting, thought leadership and colleague communications in a variety of formats.

 

The role holder will work with energy and pace, and collaborate well with colleagues in Group External Communications, as well as Communications, Business & Markets and business stakeholders to tell our Group strategic story and ambition to internal and external audiences.

In this role you will:

 

•Support the implementation of an internal and external communications plan for the Group Chief Executive and Group Chairman.

•Work closely with the Chiefs of Staff to the Group CEO and Group Chairman and members of the Executive Communications team to prepare speeches, talking points, briefing notes, and offer practical guidance on communications matters.

•Work collaboratively with colleagues in Group External Communications and Business and Markets Communications to ensure the appropriate and effective use of video for internal and external communications by the Group CEO and Group Chairman.

•Support the delivery a compelling and effective leadership communications programme, working in close partnership with Internal Communications colleagues and People, Governance and Communications.

•Research possible external speaking opportunities for the Group CEO and senior leadership aligned to the Bank’s strategy and values. 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•Previous leadership or strategic communications experience is essential to be considered.

•Experience of writing speeches & briefing notes for senior stakeholders.

•Ability to develop effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as Senior Management.

•Ideally have basic knowledge of social media channels and uses.

•Ability to work collaboratively with Communications colleagues across the Group.

 

This role is based in London, Hybrid.
