HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

This role provides high-quality, confidential and proactive Executive Assistant support to the Global Head of Securities Services, helping them manage a complex global leadership agenda. You’ll own diary management across time zones, coordinate senior meetings and events and manage domestic and international travel end-to-end. Working closely with the Business Manager you’ll support office priorities, briefing packs, correspondence and governance rhythms to keep decisions and actions moving. The role also plays a key part in strengthening ways of working across the Securities Services EA community. Success means the Global Head’s time is protected for the right priorities and executive materials and follow-through are consistently accurate, timely and high quality.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a complex executive diary across multiple time zones, acting as a trusted gatekeeper for priorities and outcomes
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel end-to-end, including detailed itineraries and meeting talking points
  • Partner with the Business Manager on briefing packs, meeting notes, talking points, correspondence and ad-hoc submissions
  • Coordinate senior-level meetings and leadership forums, including agendas, logistics, pre-reads, materials and action tracking
  • Maintain clear information flow across the SSv Global Office, escalating urgent or material matters appropriately
  • Process purchases, expenses and approvals accurately and in line with internal policy
  • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, clients and executive offices across regions and products
  • Strengthen the SSv EA community by coordinating cover, simplifying ways of working and sharing best practice

What we're looking for

  • Bring proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or senior business support professional supporting senior executives or global leadership
  • Demonstrate strong diary management capability across complex calendars, competing priorities and multiple time zones
  • Show experience coordinating international travel, senior meetings, leadership engagements, client activity and executive-level events
  • Apply strong planning and prioritisation skills to anticipate needs and deliver at pace in a global environment
  • Produce clear, executive-ready written and verbal communications including materials and correspondence
  • Handle sensitive business, people and client information with discretion, confidentiality and sound judgement
  • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams and collaboration tools to produce high-quality outputs, meeting materials and trackers
  • Use HSBC AI and productivity tools to embed best practice across the wider CIB EA community and the SSv EA community

Setting the SSv Global Rhythm

This is a role with real proximity to senior decision-making and responsibility for keeping a global leadership agenda running smoothly. You’ll help create the conditions for effective governance, clear communications and dependable follow-through across competing priorities. Working in close partnership with the Business Manager you’ll shape consistent, high-quality executive support and strengthen how the EA community operates. If you’re looking for a role where organisation and judgement have visible impact every day, we’d welcome your application.
